Ill get you my pretty!

MARTINI MONDAY – (enjoy the first evening of the
week with a cool cocktail and a easy snack!)

Yes my pretties, it’s that dangerous time of year again. Our country has seen lots of tornadoes over the past week. My sister who lives near Merrill WI said an entire farming community was wiped out without a single death. A police officer was out and saw a tornado and prewarned the siren location to turn it on immediately. Someone was watching over that day!

Let’s make some less dangerous versions for this week shall we? I can’t be responsible for what the drink may do to you…You may tornado into a wall. Let’s hope not!

The Tornado

The Tornado is a strong mixed drink that makes a great visual impression. It’s similar to a Long Island, complete with four spirts and a shot of cola, but this one is a little different. The manner in which it is prepared and served is integral into the effect and name behind the drink. When done right you’ll have a miniature twister inside your glass, complete with flying debris (ice and sugar).

1 oz whiskey
1 oz vodka
1 oz rum
1 oz tequila
1 tsp sugar
3 ice cubes

Stir the liquores with ice. Strain into a collins glass. Add sugar and stir again. Add ice then cola. Stir three times and serve with a straw.

Texas Tornado Rolls

8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 cup Jalapenos Chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup salsa
flour tortillias

Soften cream cheese.

Combine with other ingredients. Spread a little onto a tortilla spreading to all edges. Roll up. Place into refrigerater. Chill Cut into 3/5 thick slice.

Number of rolls depends on how thick you like filling. And also the size of the tortillas.

Laugh, learn and liven up your taste buds!
