Forest Park St. Pat’s Parade March 5 March 5, 2011

Filed under: happy thoughts — celebrationgoddess @ 12:32 am

SO MUCH FUN SATURDAY – (the greatest day of the week!)

Growing in popularity each year, this annual parade is one of the largest in the western suburbs. The 70-plus entries include several bagpipe bands, the award-winning Proviso Marching Band, local businesses, Medinah Shriner’s Mini Choppers, Roaring 57’s and Clown Unit, area police and fire vehicles, floats, Irish Dancers, Forest Park Dog Park, Toys for Tots and more. The festivities continue after the parade as local and area residents, friends and families spend the day on Madison Street.

It’s an “Old Man Winter” sort of day for a parade – Brrrrrrrrrr. We’re making it a short day at HolEssence and then driving to Palatine to an INDOOR spring craft fair where Evan and Kayley have a booth (she makes jewelry). Have yourself a great day!

  2. You too Laurie. Sounds like a wonderful day. Good luck to them both! Julie and I have a bad taste in our mouths from craft shows. Our inside joke for things we attempt to do but don’t succeed are – “it’s a craft show”.

Beth – Len and I have had the same experience with craft shows. But they’re going to have to learn this on their own.
