Bubble bubble toil and trouble November 14, 2010

SUCH A RELAXING SUNDAY – (enjoy a way to unwind.)

Ok I realize I have that quote wrong but when I have toil and trouble I want a BUBBLE BATH!

It is Monday (or any day of the week) and you just opened your front door after 12 hours at work and you did not get the promotion you deserved. Or you rush back home to get your kids and drive them to soccer or ballet class or both and then to a birthday party. So clearly we all have those days where we just want to have me time and shut everyone out. Me time is actually very important for sanity.

First thing is to let warm water fill up your tub and put some bubble bath in. Especially a great scented one.

Prepare all your accessories. You don’t want to get out of the warm bath and walk freezing bare assed to get a glass of wine that you forgot.

Wine, tea or other drink

Facial mask
Conditioner for your hair
Cucumbers (no it’s not for THAT you silly) or eye pads to soothe your eyes
A hand towel to use in case you want to read a book while lounging (nothing worse then accidentally getting a library book wet)
Turn on some nice music, light your candle and get inside the bath with a facial mask on, conditioner on your lovely locks and if you wish, some eye pads to soothe your eyes.

Make sure to have a glass of sparkling wine and sip it. If you do not drink alcohol any thing else is good too such as a cup of tea or hot chocolate.

Also important do not bring any phone or cell phones. This is “me quiet time”

If you have a busy household filled with children, you may want to wear earplugs. Let the husband deal with those poopie diapers for a change huh? Oh wouldn’t he just love that during the Bears game. Ok I suggest you not try and take your soothing bath during the Bears game. If will make everyone so much happier.

Read that novel with Fabio on the cover and when you’re done, drain the tub and sigh with happiness.

Laugh, learn and liven up your taste buds!
