MARTINI MONDAY – (enjoy the first evening of the week with a cool cocktail and a easy snack!)

I bet you thought that the couple of bullfrogs were going to be joke about them walking into a bar right?

Monday, it can be a fun day.  Just add some booze, food and a couple of frogs. What more could you need? Well maybe a pond full of friends to help you enjoy it.

Bullfrog

1/2 gal vodka
1 pint grain alcohol
2 liters ginger ale
2 liters lemon-lime soda
2 liters Sprite® soda
juice of 2 lemons
juice of 2 limes
Pour the soda (lemon-lime, ginger ale, sprite) into a large punch bowl, and add the vodka. Mix, and pour in the grain alcohol. Using a knife, cut the lemons and limes and squeeze the juice into the bowl.
Once upon a time, a beautiful, independent, self assured princess happened upon a frog in a pond. The frog said to the princess, “I was once a handsome prince until an evil witch put a spell on me. One kiss from you and I will turn back into a prince and then we can marry, move into the castle with my mom and you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children and forever feel happy doing so.” That night, while the princess dined on frog legs, she kept laughing and saying, “I don’t think so.”

~ 3 tbsp hot sauce
~ 2 cups de-boned frog legs

Ick! The names alone are enough to curl my toes. I’ve gone 53 years without eating anything that involves frog-parts and I’m fairly confident I’ll remain frog-free for the next 53 years as well 🙂
